Woman with slogans throughout body e.g. am I enough, simply be, here and now

Esteemed philosopher Henry David Thoreau was born on this day in 1817. As a transcendalist, he believed people could come to understand the truth about themselves through introspection - he  encouraged them to detach from the external and focus on the internal. In recognition, today is known as National Simplicity Day. If you can, take some time out of your busy schedule today just to 'be'. As Thoreau famously said, “As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler.”
